A b i d e. - an Original Poem -
Abide in my presence, my dear one, and rest
I haven't forgotten you, this isn't a test-
Just a quiet long date with your hand held in mine
I'm enjoying your presence in this soft spell in time.
While you're in a hurry to build castles in skies
I'm waiting to hold you and still you awhile;
I still hold your dreams and your prayers in my heart,
Though you're getting nervous, it's not a false start.
I've so much to show you and gifts from above
But you, Child, must rest and abide in my love,
Don't worry for future, your heart's in my hands-
I hold your tomorrows and moments like sands,
The one thing I ask you my dear one is be,
Just stay by my side and forever trust me
Stop wiggling around and trying to go-
Let me calm you and hold you and never let go.
Your dreams won't sustain you but my love always can
If you let me to lead you forever, I can!
This life's just a vapor and dreams will all be,
But if that's all you're after, you'll never know me.
For ages to come it shall be you and I
Invest just a while to sit by my side
Your earthly dreams are just that, tho fulfilled they SHALL be-
They'll not last forever nor e'er replace me.
So sit, Child, awhile; rest your head on my chest
Let me paint the sky orange and romance you the best.
No man holds a candle to my love for you
No babe fill your womb like the seed of God will-
Abide with me, Child, abide and let go
I've so much to show you, you've so much to know
I'm jealous for your love, my daughter, my bride
A moment to rest, a red rose at my side
Look! Saturn and starlight- I bejewel the night sky
Just to see your radiant face smile in glee peering high
Can I just enjoy you alone for awhile?
Calm your heart's cry and lay down your dreams for awhile.
I will grant them, my dove, I will bless you, my dear
But for now just a cuddle just a word in your ear
I love you, my fair one, I want you, my dove
Tomorrow's too soon- let me drink in your love,
Abide and be still- knowing I am your God
Remain with me darling; abide in MY love.
