Nugget Point
murre: an arctic seabird that propels its wings to fly underwater, nesting in rocky crags and thriving adeptly in both sea and air. "for though we live in the world, we are aliens and sojourners; we are not of this world- this is not our home."

Slice of heaven
I just want to share a few recent highlights of Southland, and the beauty it offers. We spent a day in the Catlins and saw seals and waterfalls and ocean bluffs. My favorite was at Nugget Point where there were seal nurseries in rock pools where all the baby seals paddled about and squawked with joy and a huge lifeguard seal kept watch over them.
